Kelsey’s journey began on the rugged coastlines of Vancouver Island, where a deep respect for nature shaped her passion for sustainability. After studying sciences at Vancouver Island University and Saskatchewan Polytechnic, she built a successful career in financial services, earning top credentials like CFP® and RRC®.

But her true calling was creating solutions that protect the planet for future generations—including her own two children. As a single mother, Kelsey understands the importance of building a world where communities thrive and opportunities are accessible to all.

Driven by this vision, she founded VercoTex to transform recycled plastics and agricultural byproducts into high-performance roofing solutions. Her leadership combines scientific expertise, financial insight, and a commitment to inclusive growth—championing partnerships with Indigenous communities and educational institutions to create training pathways and shared prosperity.
