From Financial Planning to Sustainable Innovation
Kelsey combines scientific expertise, financial insight, and entrepreneurial spirit at VercoTex Innovations. Her journey began in the sciences at Vancouver Island University, where she studied chemistry, biology, and mathematics, followed by a distinguished Laboratory Assistant Technology diploma from Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
After building a successful career in financial services, earning credentials like Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Diploma in Financial Planning, and Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC®), Kelsey's analytical skills and passion for problem-solving led her to explore the intersection of sustainability and construction.

With her scientific knowledge and business acumen, Kelsey co-founded VercoTex Innovations alongside her partner Emily Hu to address significant environmental challenges. Their breakthrough solution transforms recycled plastic and agricultural waste into high-performance roofing tiles that protect both homes and the planet.

Kelsey's personal experiences shape her leadership approach. Adopted at age five and now a single mother of two, she embodies resilience and the drive to create lasting impact for future generations. This fuels her commitment to sustainable solutions that benefit people and the environment.

Emily brings a unique blend of academic rigor, environmental passion, and mindful leadership to VercoTex Innovations. Her intellectual journey took her from McGill University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Geography with Honors, to the prestigious halls of Oxford University for her Master of Science in Energy Systems, also with Honors.
What truly sets Emily apart is how she lives her values. As a devoted vegetarian and animal lover, she approaches every challenge through the lens of compassion and sustainability, believing that true innovation must serve both people and the planet.
